Equipping, Empowering, and Employing
A New Generation of
Parish Evangelization Leaders
Our Strategic Pathway
“For the love of Christ urges us on” -(2nd Corinthians 5:14)
1. Missionary Disciples as Parish Evangelization Leaders
Since 2017, the John Paul II Foundation for the New Evangelization (JP2FNE) has been equipping and inspiring Catholics as intentional disciples, evangelizers, and catalysts of parish transformation.
Through New Evangelization retreats and conferences, Evangelization Training seminars and Faith-sharing sessions, JP2FNE has provided both the clergy and the laity opportunities to encounter Christ anew and to grow as missionary disciples who ignite the fire in their respective parishes. As parish evangelization leaders, they fulfill the only mission Christ gave the Church: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19)

2. Collaboration With Young Adults
JP2FNE fosters missionary discipleship among college students and Millennials through intercessory prayer, resources, mentorship, community, and other formation opportunities. We collaborate with other organizations for the formation of young adults as missionary disciples. In collaboration with Millennial leaders, we are inviting Pastors and other parish leaders to embrace a parish culture that embodies Truth, Beauty and Goodness in ways that would captivate the hearts of young adults and engage them in missionary discipleship.
JP2 Contemplative Prayer Community meets young adults’ need for a community in which to mature spiritually. It is also a way for us to get to know campus missionary alumni of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) and the National Evangelization Team (NET) as well as other potential Millennial Parish Evangelization Leaders.
3. Millenial Parish Evangelization Leaders
JP2FNE is committed to equipping, empowering, and employing holy and zealous Millennial Parish Evangelization Leaders (MPELs) to evangelize young adults and form them as missionary disciples.
MPELs would lead the evangelization outreach aimed especially to reach the “Nones” (disaffiliated young adults) at universities, colleges and other venues. In advance, JP2FNE has partnered with the Catholic Newman Club at California State University, Northridge to evangelize the students.
4. Certified Parish Evangelization Leaders
Any Pastor committed to the transformation of the parish culture needs someone to help him articulate the vision parishwide as well as to direct the formation of all parishioners as missionary disciples. The formation process includes evangelization, discipleship and evangelization training, empowerment and sending.
After being further equipped and empowered in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, JP2FNE’s Certified Parish Evangelization Leaders will serve in parishes that cannot afford to employ someone competent to facilitate the process but are committed to the transformation of their culture from maintenance-oriented to mission-driven.
